duaernil's answer is excellent. It really is impossible for us to determine which colleges would best "suit" you because that's such a personal and subjective distinction to make. That said, with your grades and boards, Vandy and Notre Dame are probably a bit of a stretch. It's great to set your sights high, especially since ND is reputed to have one of the top undergraduate business schools in the country, but just realize that you're going to be competing with a lot of very qualified applicants for a ticket in.

Some advice from someone who majored in finance in college and is now considering law school, don't get too hung up on what schools have this business program or that pre-law program. Really, you can be fine with just about any undergraduate training in both those fields-- it's more important that you get a broad education rather than narrowly focusing on something type-specific. To wit, my best friend was a history major at a reputable liberal arts school and got a job with Goldman Sachs right out of college. Alan Greenspan was a music major. It's great that you're looking to law and business as potential career paths, but don't limit yourself to just that during your undergraduate career.

Anyway, to circle back to your question, if you don't you think you can get into the Ivies or MIT you're going to have a tough time at Vandy or ND. I'm pretty sure Notre Dame had a comparable acceptance rate to Cornell and Dartmouth last year, as did Vandy, so they're really not a significant step down as far as admissions difficulty or academic quality. Just do some research on the web, talk to people at these schools if you can, and try to figure out what qualities are important to you in an undergraduate experience.

Choosing a college is like choosing a pair of jeans.

You want one that is comfortable and one that fits you right. Well same with a college. You want one that you will feel comfortable at and it suits you and meets your needs and standards.

Because of this, anyone who lists any college is wrong. Why? Because we know nothing about you. Nothing about what interests you, what makes you comfortable, what will suit you and your needs. The answer above mine is a good example of anyone not knowing you. See how long that list of colleges is? That answerer probably just copied a list of colleges off the web and pasted them in an answer.

My suggestion is to look into colleges that appeal to you. Talk to the counselors. Ask them all your questions because that is what they are there for. Go to college fairs in your area. Ask your high school counselor if there are any college fairs coming up. This way you get to meet the counselors or a representative from the college and talk to them in person.

Good Luck

Edit:

Thanks Lmeister for the credit!!! In line with what Lmeister has to say, don't go rushing into your desired major in your first semester. After all this is your first semester and everything is new for you and can be overwhelming. A lot of first time students change their majors, some change more than once.

My suggestion is to enter in as a liberal arts major. Get your general courses out of the way and take one or two business courses to test out the waters. If you like it then change to business, if not then you have time to figure things out. Either way you can come out with two majors, one in LBART(your general courses) and the other in whatever major you choose.
